Strategic Account Rep - Behavioral Advertising - NYC

Our client is a major player in the web infrastructure arena. They have recently formed a new division focused on behavioral targeting products for the online advertising space. These solutions enable more precise, scalable, and efficient online advertising. In this position you will be working with the largest Publishers, Advertisers, and Ad Networks on the Internet today.

The Team

You will be joining a new division focused on bringing to market a set of behavioral targeting products for the online advertising space. These solutions enable more precise, scalable, and efficient online advertising. You will be working with the largest Publishers, Advertisers, and Ad Networks on the Internet today.

The Position

The strategic account representative is responsible for the strategic objective of maximizing revenue generation within large, tier-one advertisers for this division’s behavioral ad targeting products.  Given the importance of penetrating the top-tier advertisers, you will be assigned to a number of accounts with the purpose of cold calling, prospect qualification, pitching, negotiating, and closing all revenue opportunities.  Our client is looking for a candidate who is both a hunter and a strategic seller who will consistently deliver tactical short term deals and constantly be driving towards maximizing the revenue opportunity within your accounts. This role is based out of New York City

Responsibilities

  • Understanding each prospect’s marketing objectives, competitors and how the value proposition can help achieve their goals
  • Building, refining and updating a pipeline of prospects
  • Acquiring new customers, working with Services team to grow revenue, and owning the customer relationship
  • High level client contact and relationship building
  • Effectively managing the pipeline and closing the expected number of deals
  • 5 meetings per week

Basic Qualifications
* Education: BA/BS degree

* Overall Experience:  5+ years experience in online advertising sales

  • Strong understanding of online advertising eco-system
  • Proven Track Record in over-achieving quarterly and annual quota
  • Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Must have high ethics, integrity, and humility and have a desire to establish our client as a leader in the advertising industry
  • Ideal candidates will bring with them a range of media industry-related contacts
  • Strong background in selling to Retail clients
  • Some travel required
