Background:
Our Client is building a powerful network uniting digital video content owners and publishers. They aim to become the default system for content owners seeking to distribute online video, and publishers who are sourcing high quality video for their audiences.
The content will include:
- news, entertainment and sport from broadcasters
- niche content from online content creators
- live and archived coverage from major events
- content sponsored by and / or created by major consumer brands and their agencies
This content will be published globally, and will be attractive to advertisers both at a national and regional level. Our Client provides the tools needed for content owners and publishers to create, manage and distribute their online video efficiently, and to monetize it through licensing, sponsorship and media sales.
Purpose of Role:
Our Client is seeking a Director of Agency Relations to build and manage their relationships with leading media agencies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales quarterly sales quota from both media agencies and direct from brands
- Build relationships with leading agencies, representing our Client and its partners
- Ensure that our Client’s content partners and publishers are built into the media plans for key online advertisers
- Develop and deliver account plans for the top twenty digital agencies in the USA including signing up key agency account directors to the platform
- Lead the out-reach to agencies and brands for key sponsorship opportunities
- Help manage the end to end delivery process for key agencies and campaigns, including avails forecasting, trafficking, reporting and settlement
- Champion the needs of advertisers and agencies to ensure the features and processes they need are built into the platform
- Become the ‘face’ of our Client in the media sales community, with a significant profile at industry events and conferences
- Identify content owners and publishers that our Client should be targeting to better meet the needs of its media sales partners
- Lead Our Client’s involvement with relevant industry bodies (e.g. the IAB)
- Lead our Client’s understanding and deployment of new advertising formats
- Help ensure the ongoing accuracy of revenue forecasts across the platform
- Help manage relationships with ad networks, ensuring optimal delivery of campaigns
- Help devise and deliver new online rights finance marketplace as part of the platform
Experience & Skills
- MUST have had significant success in media sales, with a specific focus on digital video
- MUST have extensive experience of (and be passionate about) building and growing successful relationships with media agencies
- MUST have a demonstrable track record of commercial success and revenue growth
- MUST be able creative in matching the needs of agencies with the opportunities and features available via the our Client’s platform
- MUST be a dynamic individual capable of working in an energetic and fast growth environment
- MUST be a proven team player with the ability to work autonomously
- MUST be competent in inventory forecasting and revenue forecasting
- SHOULD have experience of working in partnership with content owners and publishers
- SHOULD have experience in identifying the needs of clients, and ensuring they are built into new product features and solutions

The role
They are seeking a Senior Sales Director Reporting to the East Coast RVP of Sales to target agencies nationallly – at both the corporate level (agency-wide negotiations / Master services agreements) and at the agency Account team level. Location:
New York City but frequent travel will be required.
Responsibilities
- Nurture existing agency relationships and hunt and close new agency relationships and deals with major agencies at both the corporate and account team level. Please note that our client deals predominantly with General Digital Agencies (90%) and only lightly with Media planning/ buying agencies (10%)
- Initiate discussions and negotiate corporate wide Master Services Agreements for our Client’s platform.
- Liaise with existing direct account teams on deals involving agency clients.
- Generate new revenue to achieve or exceed quota for region
- Manage pipeline
- Deliver thought leadership to clients and prospects
- Develop relationships with executive level decision makers at Major interactive Agencies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years of SaaS, Technology, and/or social media consulting sales
- Knowledge of advertising technologies, analytics and interactive ad sales a plus
- Great understanding of social media advertising
- Strong contacts with major agencies and holding companies at corporate and account team level.
- Preferably some experience working with major agencies in a sales capacity
- Proven track record in managing high performance hunting oriented sales to exceed goals.
- Exceptionally strong presentation skills
- Must have a passion for social media technologies such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, etc.

The Position
The Sales Director will be responsible for the management and development of key global direct client and/or partner accounts. They will have experience in client relationship management and of developing and generating sales through those relationships. They will be expected to create new client accounts as well as developing existing ones. The role is based in York City there is an expectation that significant travel will be undertaken to service accounts. The incumbent will report directly to the Global VP of Sales based in San Mateo, CA.
Ideal Candidate Background
The ideal candidate will have worked with a technology provider that has executed transactions through the integrator or reseller channel but driven that business and has relationships directly with the end client. A knowledge of the Video or Interactive tele-presence space is beneficial but not an absolute requirement. Sample ideal backgrounds include previous work with a major AV or facilities oriented integrator, a video or collaboration technology provider or another provider that sells through multiple resellers /channels to targets the CTO or Facilities Management chain at \ Fortune 1000 firms.

The Position
• Evangelizing our Client’s ad serving solution to your assigned channel and geography
