Business Development Executive – Knowledge Management Platform

The company is currently recruiting for the role of Business Development Executive based in their New York office. As a member of the North American sales team, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, as well as growing strategic relationships and utilizing commercial acumen to define and maximize opportunities. This role will suit a business professional with strong credentials in sales and a clear focus on solution selling. Experience in eLearning, a proven record in relationship building with both internal and external partners, and an aptitude for innovation will ensure success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting and identifying new sales opportunities in our client’s vertical markets
  • Solution selling, pricing, and closing deals with a range of products
  • Generating new business and managing existing ones
  • Account management and achieving renewals
  • Building relationships and overseeing the continuing development, performance, and profitability of key accounts
  • Using existing contacts within the industry to concentrate on business development and raising the profile of  the organization
  • Participating in the development and implementation of the sales and marketing plans
  • Achieving personal sales targets
  • Evaluating competition
  • Actively using the relevant CRM system to record all activities
  • Working with the sales support team
  • Liaising with senior management with regard to opportunities and pricing on all accounts



  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Be educated to degree level, with experience in solution selling (ideally in the eLearning sector)
  • Have proven success in building cross-functional and external relationships
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Have the ability to manage and work on multiple projects simultaneously, at a very fast pace and to tight deadlines
  • Be able to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times
